Meet your Doula, India! The face behind Laboring with Love, Doula Services.

India is a certified birth & postpartum doula, who loves to read, cook & eat, exercise, drink tea, & have a good time. Certified through BMBFA, in December of 2023, India graduated with three births, which kickstarted her doula career. India’s mission behind Laboring with Love, Doula Services is to change the way women experience motherhood & lessen the stress & anxiety surrounding childbirth & the 4th trimester. This will be achieved by providing you with adequate & evidence-based information, resources, comfort measures during labor, emotional, physical & mental support, while advocating for you & teaching you the proper way to advocate for yourself so you’re able to achieve your desired birth experience.

Caring for you during the 4th trimester, LWLDS practices the Ayurvedic approach, which is an Indian practice that relies on a natural & holistic approach to help you heal physically & mentally, by focusing on four things: rest, warmth, nutrition, & body work. Mothers need to be mothered and nurtured so they’re able to properly mother & nurture their child, which is why during the 4th trimester, the focus is to care for the mother.
